Dear Friends and Family,

Sorry for the long delay for this second update on Margreets condition.  I'm getting the first dose of what some of you have been trying to prepare me for, that is, being the "primary care giver".  It certainly takes a lot of more time than I had thought... and her treatments haven't even started.

In any case, I have good news to tell you.  She is back home while we wait to go to the Utrecht hospital, so please don't call anymore to the hospital number I previously gave you.  You can reach her through our regular home phone (31) 514 681 631

The "bare bones" story is that she's got an appointment to meet Prof. Tulluken, the head of the Neurosurgery Dept. of the Medical University of Utrecht (or something like that) on next Tuesday.  He's considered to be one of the _best_ neurosurgeons in The Netherlands, and she's been placed in the 'urgent list' for a biopsy, which comes as very good news to us, since it means that he thinks the tumors are accessible.  We'd been told that the tumors were too deep in the brain and it would be too risky to try to get a sample of them.  So now  they'll be able to find out exactly what type of cancer it is and be able to focus the treatments much more accurately.

The little building in the back of Marcia and Douwe's house, which is about 10 minutes drive from the hospital, is being remodeled so that we can live there while Margreet is recovering from her treatments.  We don't know how long it will take to get it ready but some friends of ours, who live nearby, are letting us use their house during this interim period, so this has reduced the logistical stress for this immediate period.
Marcias baby has moved to the right position for delivery.  That reduces Margreets stress over that situation.    :)       We're hoping that s/he will wait until after Margreet gets done with the biopsy so that she can be around to welcome him/her.

So, all is as good as we could expect, for the circumstances.

====================================================

As for the long story... I'll have to wait for some free time to let you know in more detail.
But for now, just know that this is turning out to be an amazing experience for us.  "Miracles", "synchronicities", "coincidences",  or whatever you may want to call them, have been happening all along.  So much so that she's come to consider this horrible situation as a blessing that she needed to "wake up".  So much so that I have found her crying several times, not from grief, but from having a feeling of being blessed to find herself in a great sea of love, and this has been expressed through you, all of you.

I hope to be able to write down soon, some of the specifics, to let you know what's been happening, but for now I want to thank you for your prayers, advice and good wishes you've been sending us.  Meanwhile I need to go to bed and get some sleep.

Thanks for all you are doing.

Bob
